New LAN Blocker / Locks by elecom

Elecom presents some awesome devices for LANs.

This device allows you to switch off network traffic through a on/off switch

is a small thing you put in an unused port of your router/switch/hub and prevent 3rd party access to it

You can put this device on a Ethernet plug to prevent it to be plugged in.

    uggh im so stupid …? I still dont understand why it is useful for the router/switch/hub when there is a on/off switch there ?

    for example at university, if you don’t want students to plug the cable in you just lock it ;)
    The on/off switch is useful when you don’t want your computer to access the LAN
